About

Indeed is a leading global employment website, offering job seekers access to millions of job listings from various sources. Operating in over 60 countries and providing services for both job seekers and employers, Indeed has become the go-to platform, facilitating millions of job searches and placements worldwide.

Problem

Indeed’s EMEA HQ is located in one of the largest mixed-use developments ever built in Ireland. Indeed has a huge employee population of over 800 people but an allocation of only 40 spaces in the building, making parking a very emotive issue. This is heightened by the lack of public transport options in the area.

Prior to Wayleadr, Indeed staff were arriving extra early to the office, aiming to secure a spot only to be turned away when the allocated spaces had already been filled. This caused mayhem at the garage entrance where staff tried to back out of the entrance tunnel into a congested street.

Some staff would even tailgate other tenants into the parking lot and park in other tenant’s spaces. This caused frequent headaches for the workplace team to identify the vehicle owner and communicate their movements with building security. Employee dissatisfaction was also worsened by the empty spaces they would often see in the parking lot, that were held for the building’s resident population.

Solution

Wayleadr partnered with Indeed to manage their staff arrival more intelligently. Spaces are now allocated daily based on Wayleadr’s allocation algorithm. This ensures an equitable distribution and removes the unfair advantage once enjoyed by early birds.

In order to manage access control and digitize enforcement, a Wayleadr Connect unit was placed on the entry barrier. This ensured that only employees with a booking for that day had access to the sole mechanism of opening the barrier, the Open Gate button in the Wayleadr app. This allocation did not magically solve the problem of over-demand. Instead, Wayleadr worked with the property manager, Aramark, to enable the flexible use of these spaces by other tenants.

In a world first, the concept of Spotshare was born, a feature that enables tenants (in multi-tenant campuses) to share excess parking spaces with one another on an on-demand basis. As a result, the underused resident spaces were made available to Indeed staff for booking at a competitive local rate.

Key Benefits

Our Return to Office strategy meant there was a huge increase in staff on site and our dedicated parking spaces were full every day. Access to to the Wayleadr Spotshare spaces was crucial, and ensures that we can provide a key overflow option for our employees”
